Explore: Africa

It is near-impossible to summarise Africa. With 54 countries, around 2,000 languages, and a population of over 1.2 billion, this region and its culture is impossible to discover in a lifetime – let alone one holiday.

Holidays to Africa

Africa is, of course, the home of the safari. Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and South Africa – to name but a few – all offer opportunities to spot the iconic Big Five: lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo. Head out on game drives with a guide from your camp, follow animal tracks on a walking trip, or take to the skies for an unforgettable aerial safari. Head for Uganda and Rwanda, and you might even get to see another wildlife wonder, the gorilla.

Africa is made for road trips too, whether you’re cruising along the Garden Route from Cape Town, or making your way down Namibia’s haunting yet enchanting Skeleton Coast.

Or, why not explore North Africa’s cities on an action-packed mini break? Stretching from Morocco in the west to Egypt’s Suez Canal in the east, this is Africa at its most fascinatingly frenetic – a heady mix of ancient temples and bustling souks, bordered by mighty mountains and rivers.
